Kim Westermann, DMD

Dr. Westermann graduated from the University of Louisville School of Dentistry in 1987 and has practiced restorative and cosmetic dentistry in the Springhurst Area since that time.  She and her staff have taken extensive continuing education to remain on the leading edge of dentistry and has enjoyed working with many groups within organized dentistry.  Dr. Westermann was the first female dentist to be appointed to the KY Board of Dentistry, served in all offices including President in 2002.  She also served as the first female President of the Southern Regional Testing Agency, which gives the Board Exams for Dental Licensure to graduating students.  Dr. Westermann was inducted into the American College of Dentists in 2003, an organization whose mission is to further ethics and professionalism in dentistry.  Only 3% of the world's dentists have enjoyed that distinction.  Dr. Westermann is married to Bart Doerhoefer, a mortgage banker with Commonwealth Bank and Trust.  She has two step children, Catie and Tyler, and a great dog, Bandit.  Dr. Westermann is also the co-owner/creator of Bikinis and Bifocals- a national organization for women who want to maintain a positive attitude about life while dealing with the aging process!  Kim is very committed to having a positive attitude and sharing that with everyone around her!
