Kim Westermann, DMD

I am Dr. Kim Westermann, and I’ve been in dentistry since I was 17! It is very gratifying to me, to be able to help people restore their mouth to a healthy state, and also create a beautiful smile for them.  I am dedicated you having a positive dental experience each, and every time you come in.  Your comfort is always our primary concern.  Our patients say our treatments are painless, and that’s something I’m very proud of!  I believe building a trusting relationship up front is key to making you feel comfortable.  We take the time to listen to your needs and concerns.  My commitment to provide you with the best care possible, motivates us to take endless hours of continuing education, in order to stay up on the latest techniques and materials.  I respect your valuable time by scheduling efficiently and not overbooking. Providing quality dentistry in a warm and caring atmosphere is what we’re all about! 

I have enjoyed working with many groups in organized dentistry since graduating from the Univ. of Louisville in 1987.  I served on the KY Board of Dentistry and the Southern Regional Testing Agency, which gives Board exams for Dental Licensure.  I am very proud to have been inducted into the American College of Dentists in 2003, an organization whose mission is to further ethics and professionalism in dentistry.  Only 3% of dentists in the world enjoy that distinction.  My love of dentistry allowed me to work with some very special and caring people within our profession.  I will be forever grateful for those experiences, because I feel that they have made me better able to help my patients!

My grandparents taught me at an early age to be involved in my community.  I work with the Komen Foundation, doing the registration for the Race for the Cure to raise money for breast cancer research.  We also give a portion of our proceeds from tooth whitening procedures to the Crusade for Children.  I am married to Bart Doerhoefer, a banker with Commonwealth Bank and Trust and have 2 step children, Catie and Tyler, and a dog, Bandit.  I enjoy playing tennis, fly fishing and traveling.  I like to share my positive outlook on life with everyone around me!
