Keven Carlton, RDH- Registered Dental Hygienist      

 

 

                               

 

Keven is a native Louisvillian, graduating from Butler High School and attended Jefferson Community College and the University of Louisville School of Dentistry, receiving her Degree in Dental Hygiene in 1985.  Keven has been a member of the American Dental Hygiene Association and held offices locally in the Kentucky Dental Hygiene Association.  Having  practiced hygiene for over 20 years, Keven is well known for her gentleness, sense of humor and  caring, vivacious personality!  Dedicated to keeping up with all the latest in dentistry, Keven attends several continuing education courses every year and practices with the latest technologies and techniques.

 

Keven is married to Bobby Carlton, and has a stepdaughter, Cindy.  She enjoys spending time spoiling her nephews and nieces.  Keven also started her own business in 2000, portraying her creative artistic style by making all kinds of things from polymer clay. 

 

Lauren Gahafer, RDH  - Registered Dental Hygienist

 

Lauren is also a Louisville native, growing up in the South End of Louisville, graduating from Holy Cross High School and the University of Louisville School of Dentistry.  She is a member of the American Dental Hygiene Association and the Kentucky Dental Hygiene Association.  Lauren is a perfectionist, which is a great characteristic for someone in our field!  She is very gentle and caring with her patients and in the two years of practicing has developed quite a following of patients.

 

Lauren likes to do volunteer work with the Komen Foundation and South End Girls Unite, raising money for various charities in our area.

 

 Angie Schiavone- Receptionist/Patient Coordinator/ Dental Assistant

 

 

                       

 Angie can do everything! She is the patient coordinator in our practice, taking care of scheduling, financial arrangements and just keeping people happy!  Angie started working in dentistry in 1988 and received her dental assisting degree from the University of North Carolina in 1990.  She worked for a general dentist in Greensboro for 11 years, as an assistant and front desk coordinator, before moving to Louisville in 2000 and joining our practice.  Angie has attended numerous seminars and continuing education on patient care and co-ordination and is an expert at making people comfortable in our practice.   Her warm and caring southern charm makes her the perfect person to deal with most of your non-clinical needs, such as scheduling your appointment, handling your account and dealing with insurance companies. She is also a very talented expanded duties dental assistant, helping Dr. Westermann chairside as needed!

Angie is married to Scott Schiavone, a stock broker and has one son, Andy.  She is a 4.0- 4.5 level tennis player, taking her teams to championships year after year!

 

 

Kathy Lega, EDDA  Assistant

 

Kathy Lega has been an expanded duties dental assistant for 35 years, helping the Doctor chairside.  She received her initial training at Jefferson Vocational School and the University of Louisville.  Kathy takes numerous continuing educations courses to learn the latest in dental techniques.  Her warm caring personality comes through in her teaching with the Dental Boot Kamp, an organization who teaches dentists and their staff about how to run a successful and ethical dental practice.  She is an exceptional assistant and patients love her gentle touch!  She is also an experienced patient co-ordinator and receptionist and can help you with scheduling, financial arrangements and insurance.  Like Angie, she can do everything!

 

Kathy is a Louisville native married to Alan Lega for 34 years, with three children and one grandson, Nathan.  When she isn’t with Nathan on her days off she is training for marathons with her girlfriends.  She has completed marathons in eleven different states!
